Welcome to the Harbor View 8k. You'll get to experience sunset views as you run next to Lake Michigan and through the Port Washington Marina. The unique distance of an 8k race (4.97 miles) is a new and exciting distance to tackle!

Course Details

RACE DISTANCE: 4.97 miles

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Our course will run you alongside portions of Lake Michigan and begin next to the Port Washington Harbor in Coal Dock Park. You'll run ON THE DOCK through the heart of Pirate Fest and passed live music / fishing charter boats on your way to mile 1. Our King of the Hill challenge is just before you reach mile 1. The fastest time from the bottom to the top wins a special prize! At the top of the hill you'll be greeted with amazing views of the Lake Michigan. Mile 2 is a fast stretch down the Ozaukee Interurban paved trail along side a stream and covered trees. Mile 3 runs you through the heart of downtown Port Washington and all it's small shops. Once you reach the fourth and final mile, you'll run up one hill and find yourself flying back down another to bring you to South Beach. Finally, you'll cross a fun lit up bridge over the lake and back onto Coal Dock Park. Take in the sunset and sprint your little booty (pirate pun) into the finish line! We'll have your finishers shot glass waiting for you ;)

RE-FUEL STATIONS: Seven refuel stations are located along the route. 
   Mile 1.5 - water, nuun hydration, recycle bins
   Mile 3.4 - water, nuun hydration, recycle bins

ON COURSE SUPPORT:
  Two lead bikes are first on the course leading the top runner
  Course workers are located at every turn to help direct you 
  Multiple workers are located inside Pirate Fest during the event as you run through the festival
  On-course medical is located at the start / finish line
  2 refuel stations are spread out along the route
  Follow vehicle stays behind the final participants at all times
  Runner support is located at mile 3 on course
