Hard Rock Run

Want a challenge that will really see what you're made of? Take you to a place that the general public hardly gets to experience?

Hard Rock Run will take you down steep declines into an active, open pit mine and then you will have to attempt to get back out.  The route will be over a 5k, runners will start off easy, allowing you to warm-up, before you begin the 380' descent into our pit. Then it will be up to you on how you get back out, run, walk, or crawl. Our haul roads are about 10% grade, nice and easy going down but hard coming back out.

If running is not your thing then come out and walk or run/walk the route and enjoy the view! 

From our location you can see the Blue Ridge as a backdrop and take selfies with our giant equipment.

Teachers, students, veterans, EMS, fire fighters, police, and military will receive a 5 dollar discount.

All proceeds will be donated to a charity.
