Rockford’s oldest 10K is back for the 37th year but with some changes (hopefully temporary). With the current state regarding Covid-19, we want to continue the race but we have to go with either wave starts or a rolling start. This prevents us from using any route in the downtown area due to crossing streets and the extended time where we would need Law Enforcement for these street crossings. Midway Village offers a unique opportunity for our race. It combines a glimpse back into Rockford’s heritage by routing the course through the village and allows us to create a course that eliminates street crossings. The other change (again, hopefully temporary) is that the 10k has been shortened to 5 miles due to the loop course. Also – THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
Parking is also limited so…what this means for you is that you will pick a “wave” time and arrive just prior to your wave, pick up your packet, get ready and then begin your race. Run by yourself, run with others; the choice is yours. Once you have completed the race, head home. Your time will be posted live on www.Tri-3Timing.com.
Once everyone has finished, awards will be determined and we will arrange to get your awards out to you.
All registered participants that have signed up prior to 4/18 will receive a commemorative race shirt. Must signup by Sunday 4/18 to guarantee a shirt size, after that date shirts will be first come first served. Kid friendly race pricing to all pre-registered participants 17 and under.
We will provide more information as we firm up the details.
