Join us in our 3rd year of the LARGEST 5K AND 1 MILE RUN in the history of Etowah County. The past 2 years you have allowed us to donate close to $30,000 to our local child advocacy center, THE JAMES M. BARRIE CENTER FOR CHILDREN. We had over 400 race participants and as many or more spectators last year. We hope to beat that amount this year. We heard some of your concerns last year and what people liked and we have been working hard to fix as many issues as we can. This year there will be more lighting throughout the course and around the stage area and there will be bathrooms located within the bird sanctuary. The issue with the bridge being to small is out of our control as that is city property. The concerns were voiced with the city and we are working on a solution to accommodate everyone. Help us grow the race to our largest event in the 3 year history of the Hot Pursuit 5K.
•PACKET PICK UP – Come to the packet pickup at The Gadsden Mall inside the old arcade, on Friday, September 6th, to receive your race day bib, tee-shirt (if you made the cut off date), and goodie bag. If you can’t make it to packet pick-up, don’t fret; you’re welcome to send a friend or family member to pick up your race day necessities – as long as they come with a copy of everyone’s registration confirmation. We strongly encourage you to come to the early race packet pickup on Friday, September 6th at The Gadsden Mall on Rainbow Drive 4PM-7PM.
