Indiana State University Runway 5k

The Runway 5K will be added onto the ISU Fly-in/Drive-in. This event is a fundraiser for the Indiana State University student aviation organizations as well as Wings of Hope Inc. of St. Louis, MO. (wings-of-hope.org) The race will be held on the active runways of the Terre Haute International Airport prior the the beginning of the fly-in.

Racers are guaranteed a tshirt for the event if registered by April 1, 2016. Snacks and waters will be provided at the finish line. There will be several different categories of runners and awards will be given to the top three (3) of each category.

The end of the race will mark the beginning of the fly-in and car show. Participants of the race are encouraged to stick around for the rest of the day's events. City rides will be provided by Hoosier Aviation LLC in a variety of aircraft, as well as Billy Werth from Grayout Aerosports and the Commemorative Air Force in a B-25 Mitchell. Several items will be raffled off including a ride in the B-25 and various gift cards for local businesses.

The car show portion of the event will feature the Indianapolis Mustang Club and participants will have the chance to push their cars to the limit on one of the airport's runways for $20. Car show entry is $20 and does not include the runway cruise. Show participants will be judged and several awards will be given.
