In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and ensure safety of all our participants, the 13th Annual Jenny’s Light Run will be a VIRTUAL run on Sunday May 23. Our 2020 virtual run was quite successful and we hope this year’s race will be even bigger and better! It’s the perfect opportunity to set a goal and walk, hike or run to help support mothers & their families dealing with perinatal mood disorders. Your support will be appreciated by so many!
THE 13TH ANNUAL JENNY’S LIGHT 5k, 10k & KIDS 1k RUN
* Register by March 14 to take advantage of the early bird registration fee of $29 for the 5k or 10k!
* Kids (10 & under) 1k fun run registration fee is $15 through race day.
** This year we are pleased to offer ‘COVID-SAFE’ IN-PERSON PACKET PICK-UP & REGISTRATION!

(2) SAT MAY 22 from 10am -12pm at MJ Hamann Park in San Jose (2747 Westfield Ave)
**We strongly encourage San Jose & Santa Cruz locals to attend. If you live in the San Jose or Santa Cruz areas but are NOT able to attend, there will be an additional $5 shipping and handling fee. Friends and family can pick up for each other.
**There will be no shipping cost for participants who live outside of San Jose or Santa Cruz. However please make sure you enter the proper mailing address when you register. Thank you!
If you register after APRIL 19 we can NOT GUARANTEE that you will receive your shirt (and proper size) by May 23. You MUST register by APRIL 19 in order to receive your race shirt by May 23 or be able to pick it up on May 21 or 22.
What’s a virtual race? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.
Why should I participate? We need your support more than ever. During the COVID pandemic pregnant and new moms are even more isolated at home. Supporting Mamas has remained committed to supporting mothers and is now offering two free, virtual support groups per week. We’d like to add more and target specific populations. Your support keeps these programs running.
How to participate: 1. Choose your location, then run/ walk/ jog/ bike/ roll or treadmill a 5k or 10k (or any amount of miles!) at any pace. MapMyRun and RunKeeper are great apps to track your distance and route. 2. Share your photos with everyone on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using the hashtags #runjennyslight #supportingmamas so we can cheer each other on and more! 3. And get creative because this year’s awards will be based on creativity, not speed!

Jenny’s Light was founded thirteen years ago following the death of Jenny and Graham whose mission was to improve & save lives by increasing awareness of all perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression. We have merged our efforts and fundraising with San Francisco Bay Area based Supporting Mamas. They provide information, resources, support & hope to families coping with perinatal mood disorders.
