Join the Lake Michigan Credit Union Bridge Run for a Jingle Bell FUN Run and help kickoff the holiday season in the City of Grand Rapids.
The Jingle Bell Bridge Run will start and end at Rosa Parks Circle, after the official City of Grand Rapids Christmas Tree lighting. The 2 to 3-mile route will be on sidewalks (no road closures) and take you by the decorations and lights of downtown Grand Rapids. We will be sure to cross a few bridges along the way. There is no race shirt, no finisher medal, no official timing, NO COST…JUST FUN!
FUN prizes will be given out and will include:

About City of Grand Rapids’ Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The City of Grand Rapids’ Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Rosa Parks Circle and official opening of the ice rink will include loads of free family fun from 5:30 PM – 7:30PM.
Check out various cultural booths demonstrating how holidays are celebrated around the world and visit community organization booths for crafts, activities, and giveaways. Enjoy a warm cup of glüvine (21+ only) and gingerbread cookies from the Edelweiss Club or some free hot cocoa from Maranda. Explore a Grand Rapids Fire Department truck or Grand Rapids Polic Department car. Make a craft with the GRPL or commemorative snow globe with the Office of Special Events, and pick up a free book for kids 17 and under from ReadGR. Watch dazzling ice skating performances from the WMU figure skating team and the Lake Effect Flurries, and cheer on the Sled Wings adaptive hockey as they take the ice for an exhibition. You also don’t want to miss the lighting of the tree and the arrival of Santa & Mrs. Claus!
