Come join us at Dunkled Acres, which is an outdoor venue in central PA on Saturday, June 16.  This inaugural event will be held in honor of my husband John (JohnBoy).  The event will be a rugged wilderness 10k race.  There will be a health and wellness Expo in the barn, all racers will receive a finishers medal, t-shirt, drinks, fruit and snacks. Age group awards. Early packet pick up Friday June 15 from 9-6pm.  All profits will be donated to K's for Cancer of Montoursville. 

Two years ago he was struck with cancer. He fought long and hard. Chemo and radiation didn’t kill him but it tried. Our journey had just begun. Countless miles back and forth to the hospital, hours and hours in the Chemo room it went on and on. Time flew by, but stood still at the same time!

During our struggle we met some great people. One visit we were given gift card for gas and groceries, without even asking for it. Our nurse told us about the program for patients in Lycoming County Pa- that’s where we live- Called K’s for Cancer. It was a great gift and couldn’t have come at a better time.

We were so grateful for this donation and John and me had discussed we would pay it forward with a fundraiser in the summer for K’s for Cancer.

Sadly the cancer returned more aggressive than the first time. After emergencies and helicopter rides and more time in the hospital, John and me decided to go home and stay home.

John left Dunkled Acres on April 19,2017, but he never really left!
