K’s for Katie is a charity race to benefit the foundation for Prader-Willi Research.  Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is the most common known genetic cause of life-threatening obesity in children. Although the cause is complex, it results from an abnormality on the 15th chromosome. It occurrs in males and females equally and in all races.

This event will feature a 5k Run, 10k Run and 3k Walk.  All ages, levels and abilities are welcomed and encouraged to join as we run and walk the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority Trail in order to raise money for valuable research that will help the future children affected by this indiscriminant disease.
