Prairie Spirit Trail Fall Classic 50 Mile / 7 AM start; 17-hour time limit. (approx. 25 mile cutoff in 8 hours)
Prairie Spirit Trail Fall Classic 50K / 8 AM start; 12-hour time limit. (approx. 25K cutoff in 5.5 hours)
Along with aid station cutoffs on the inbound leg of all races.

COURSE DESCRIPTION & AID STATIONS:

Kansas Rails-to-Trails 100 Mile: The Kansas Rails-to-Trails 100 Mile is run on the Prairie Spirit Trail and is a beautiful "rails-to-trails" course that runs through numerous quaint little towns. Starting at Celebration Hall in Ottawa, runners will do a short (appox. 2 mile) northbound out-and-back, then travel south to Iola and back north to the finish in Ottawa. The course is primarily on a crushed limestone trail, with asphalt paths as you travel through each small town. Manned and unmanned aid stations will be approximately every 5 miles (with no greater distance than approximately 6 miles) and the course is easily accessible to crew. It's a great event for first timers, as it's a flat and relatively easy course. It's also the perfect course for experienced runners wanting to set a PR. The atmosphere will be family friendly with plenty of places for your crew to hang out and relax while cheering you on. Pacers WILL BE allowed for the last 60 miles (approx.) of the event.
Aid Stations: 21 total aid stations; 11 manned aid stations fully-stocked with water, electrolyte drink & snack-type foods, including soup & sandwiches, 10 unmanned aid stations with water only. Approximate distance between aid stations is 5 miles with no distance greater than a little over 9 miles between manned aid stations. Drop bag access at 11 total locations on the course with no distance greater than approximately 9 miles between drop bags.

Prairie Spirit Trail Fall Classic 50 Mile: The Prairie Spirit Trail Fall Classic 50 Mile is an out-and-back course, beginning at Celebration Hall in Ottawa, Kansas, with a short (4 mile approx.) northbound out and back, then traveling primarily south to Garnett and back north to the finish. The course is primarily on a crushed limestone trail, with asphalt paths as you travel through each town including Ottawa and the course is easily accessible to crew a total of five times.
Aid Stations: 10 total aid stations, with 5 manned aid stations fully-stocked with water, electrolyte drink & snack-type foods, including soup & sandwiches and 5 unmanned aid stations with water only. Approximate distance between aid stations is 5 miles with no distance greater than approximately 6 miles between aid stations. Drop bag access at 5 total locations on the course with no distance greater than 10 miles between drop bags. Pacers are NOT allowed in the 50 mile race.

 
Prairie Spirit Trail Fall Classic 50K: The Prairie Spirit Trail Fall Classic 50K is an out-and-back course, beginning at Celebration Hall in Ottawa, Kansas, with a short (1 mile approx.) northbound out and back, then traveling primarily south to Richmond and back north to the finish. The course is primarily on a crushed limestone trail, with asphalt paths as you travel through each town including Ottawa and the course is easily accessible to crew a total of three times.
Aid Stations: 7 total aid stations, with 3 manned aid stations fully-stocked with water, electrolyte drink & snack-type foods, including soup & sandwiches and 4 unmanned aid stations with water only. Approximate distance between aid stations is 5 miles with no distance greater than approximately 6 miles between aid stations. Drop bag access at 3 total locations on the course with no distance greater than 8 miles between drop bags. Pacers are NOT allowed in the 50K race.

CHECK-IN (Staging Area):

Race headquarters is at Celebration Hall, located at 220 W. 17th Street in Ottawa, KS. Packet pick-up and drop-bag (drop-off) will be held from 4-9 PM on Friday evening October 28th.

Our pre-race meal will be served from 5-6 PM on Friday evening at Celebration Hall. Please remember, pre-race dinner IS NOT included in your entry fee, but can be purchased during registration and will consist of a roast beef or chicken option, along with hash brown casserole, rice pilaf, steamed vegetables, salad, roll, sheetcake and beverage. Pre-race meals must be purchased by October 16th.

Late packet pick-up Saturday morning, October 29th from 4:30-5 AM for the 100 mile entrants, 5:30-6 AM for the 50 mile entrants and 6:30-7 AM for the 50K entrants.

POST-RACE:
Post-race food consisting of choice of ham or turkey on a wheat hoagie roll, with lettuce, tomato & cheese. Baked beans, chips, pickle and fruit cup, along with lemonade and pop. A hearty bean soup will be available for those wanting a vegetarian option. Post-race meal is included in the entry fee for the registered runner. Additional post-race meals can be purchased for $10 per guest.

AWARDS:
Personalized, date specific, first overall male & female award plaques in ALL four events events AND customized, date and event specific, belt buckles guaranteed to ALL finishers of their chosen event.

MEALS:
Friday evening's pre-race meal will be catered and IS NOT included in the entry fee. Cost is $15 per runner pre-paid at checkout. Extra guests are $15 per meal for the Friday evening pre-race meal need to be paid for in advance at checkout as we will be catering/prepping enough food based on PRE-PAID head count.
