The Kaweah Country Run is three events on two scenic out-and-back courses that utilize the historic Kaweah Trails in the lake bottom of Lake Kaweah. Runners start on a paved ramp that, in the first mile, changes to a dirt trail; the 10K trail is adjacent to where the river flows into the lake; 5K runners follow the path of the old road that entered Three Rivers from the valley below. Walkers follow the 5K runners on the upper course. Unique to the Kaweah Country Run: runners can choose the combo – 10K at 8 am and 5K at 9:30 am.
Proceeds are donated to the Chris Dudley Foundation, helping kids live active lives with Type 1 Diabetes.
