12th Knossos Half Marathon 2018 in Heraklion and 1000m race for boys and girls from 6 to 15 years old in the “Eleftherias” stadium of Heraklion.

PAYMENT FOR PARTICIPATION
Half Marathon: 12 Euros for registration and payment until 14 August.
15 Euros for registration and payment from 15 August to 5 September (last day for registration for the Half Marathon).The participation package includes: timekeeping, technical sport t-shirt, participation diploma and a medal for all finishers.

1000m race: 3 Euros which will be paid at the day of the race. The amount that will be collected, it will be given to support the Club “Agaliazo” which fights against cancer.
PARTICIPATION CATEGORIES AND PRIZES
Categories for the 12th Knossos Half Marathon 2018 and prizes: the first three male and female winners of the overall classification. Also, the first three male and female winners in the age groups: 15 to 19 years old, 20 to 29 years old , 30-39 years old, 40-49 years old, 50-59 years old and 60+ years old (at least 4 athletes per category must participate to award prizes). The first three male and female winners of the overall classification will be awarded a cup and a medal. In the other categories, the first male and female will be awarded a cup and the medal, the second and third male and female a medal, and those who will finish the race a commemorative medal.
For the race of 1000m a cup will be awarded for the first boy and girl. The second and third boy and girl will be awarded a medal. Primary and Secondary School boys and girls will be awarded separately.
RACE ROUTES
12th Knossos Half Marathon 2018: It starts outside the archeological site of Knossos. It crosses the city of Heraklion through the public roads. It finishes at the “Eleftherias” stadium of Heraklion.
1000m race: Inside the “Eleftherias” stadium of Heraklion.
REINFORCEMENT STATIONS
For the 12th Knossos Half Marathon 2018: At the 6th km (water), at the 11th km (water, orange juice, isotonic water), 16km (water, isotonic water, bananas, salty food) and at the end of the race (water, orange juice).
Finish deadline for the 12th Knossos Half Marathon 2018: 3 Hours!
Music events at the start and the finish of the race will accompany the athletes.
The medical assistance will be provided by “Asclepius of Crete”. All participants compete on their own responsibility.
