KU Run for the Heart 5k

The KU Run for the Heart is a fun run 5k held at the prestigious Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas. Put together by the University of Kansas Running Club, this race strives to promote a healthy lifestyle through the sport of running by donating half of all proceeds to the American Heart Association, the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting the number one and two killers worldwide: heart disease and stroke. In addition to supporting a worthy cause, the KU Run for the Heart seeks to provide a friendly atmosphere to run with friends to the beat of a live DJ, set a new PR through the trails of Rock Chalk Park, and see what it’s like to cross the finish line of KU’s official track. By registering for the race, you are entitled to a bib with chip timing, a race day T-shirt, and the opportunity to compete for awards for the top 3 male and female finishers. The race gun goes off at 9AM; We can’t wait to see you there!
