About the event

The Weald Challenge Ultra Trail 50km follows the long distance paths of the Wealdway and the Vanguard Way. The race starts and finishes in the village of Chiddingly and encompasses the surrounding beauty of the Sussex countryside en route. The course is approximately 85% off-road, and as the runners travel along the picturesque and undulating routes, they will take in a great variety of landscapes containing rolling hills, irregular shaped fields and ancient woodlands.

The Weald Challenge Ultra Trail 50km caters for all levels of runner, whether a novice to the ultra trail running or an experienced ultra trail runner. The race provides a great opportunity for those runners that may have run a spring road marathon, to again challenge themselves by running beyond the marathon distance on the trails, and thereby getting to experience the joy of trail marathon running, for perhaps the first time.
