About the event
Laps for Literacy 5K Run/Walk is organized by a BookBridge (https://a2bookbridge.wixsite.com/mysite), a student-led club at Skyline High School (https://www.a2schools.org/skyline). One of our goals is to raise funds and donations to buy new books for underprivileged children at the Walker Literacy Center in Detroit (https://www.walkerliteracycenter.org/). Another portion of the funds and donations will go towards future BookBridge projects. The race will be held at the newly constructed Robin Hills Farm (https://www.robinhillsfarm.com/) on the Saturday afternoon of November 16, 2019 before the busy Thanksgiving weekend.The farm features a gorgeous natural trail and ample parking. This race is a family-friendly event, and we encourage kids and adults of all ages to come!
