— PARKING —
The start area is inside the parking lot. The lot may fill up due to the number of participants we have this year, but you should be able to find street parking nearby. Please allow a few additional minutes to find parking.

— WHAT TO BRING / WEATHER —
December is usually cold and possibly rainy with race temperates around 38°F. Remember to dress warm and double check for rain in the forecast when considering which gear to bring. Some folks like to layer up with a hat, gloves, long pants, and a rain jacket on top to stay warm this time of year. If you're not sure, ask on the Facebook page for ideas.

— WHEN YOU ARRIVE —
We may be offering chip timing again this year, which will require you to pick up your assigned bib at the race start area. More details to come later.

— AID STATIONS —
We'll provide water and Tailwind all-in-one race nutrition, at three aid stations and the finish area. Some light snacks should also be available (like bananas, pretzels, or chips).
Orca Running is providing an aid station at mile 13, on the Elliot Bay Trail near the waterfront. Two volunteer aid stations will also be available: mile 6 at Ballard Locks entrance, and mile 20 near Husky Stadium after Montlake Bridge.

— RELAY TEAMS —
Teams are allowed to split the course in any way they like. If you're on a team, we'll email you additional logistical details on the week before the race.

— CHIP TIMING —
We may provide chip timing for this event. We'll confirm soon.

Please make sure you wear the bib pinned to the outermost layer on the front so we can identify you easily on the course and at the finish. Bibs will have timing chips so please try not to crumple them. We’ll collect the timing chips in a bin at the finish area.

— NAVIGATING THE COURSE —
We are providing a downloadable course map which we suggest loading onto your phone or GPS watch to avoid getting lost. We'll also provide a water resistant map and instruction sheets at race start for everyone.

We'll mark turns with chalk as best as we can, but you will be expected to have some basic navigational skills to successfully complete this route. Roads will remain open as usual, since this is a free event, so please be safe out there.

— RACE MEDALS —
Similar to previous years, we should have custom wood etched "medals" available at the finish area for a donation benefitting a non-profit (not yet chosen).
