Legacy of Giving 5K / 10K

Lincoln's Legacy of Giving 5K/10K takes place on June 6, 2020 at 8am.  The event starts at Stuart Park near the Trailhead to the Sangamon Valley Trail (SVT).   

At this time we are planning to start the 5K and 10K together.  The route heads out to the north/south split on the SVT.  All runners take the route south to a turnaround point 1.55 miles from the start line and then return.  The 5k is an out a back but the10K runners continue running to the north on the SVT when the 5K runners turn back home.   The 10K turnaround point is about 1.5 miles further north on the trail.    Here's an overview of the routes.

There will be a water stop at mile 1, 2 for the 5k route and mile 3.5 and 4.5 for 10K route. 

Both events are chip timed and all runners receive a gender-specific race shirt, on-course support, post-event snacks at the shelter, age bracket awards and entry into the MusicFest plus food and drinks. 

PACKET PICKUP- Race day from 7 am to 8 am at Stuart Park in the pavilion on the southside.  Also for those that want to use their complimentary tickets to the Music Festival on Friday evening, we'll have packet pickup at 6th and Washington St. from 6 pm to 8 pm. 

Proceeds of this event go into the charity pool for the Legacy of Giving Music Festival.
