Life is a Journey...Celebrate the Finish

Are you ready to spread your wings? Need some motivation to maintain your fitness but you're not quite ready for an in-person event? Then join us for Keuka Comfort Care Home's "Life is a Journey...Fly Like an Eagle" virtual event around the Finger Lakes and let your imagination take flight along the way! Go as far as your wings will carry you!

New York State's Bald Eagle nesting population once dwindled to just one pair on Hemlock Lake (one of the eleven Finger Lakes). From this moment of near extinction, Bald Eagles have made an historic comeback and again majestically soar throughout the Finger Lakes. Our event celebrates this, and also the many Comfort Care Homes that have taken wing in recent years. Traverse the wingspan of our virtual Eagle Route around the Finger Lakes and pass by our six participating Comfort Care Homes, many Bald Eagle hotspots, and other fascinating points of interest in the region.

Beginning September 15th and continuing through to December 15th, run, walk, and/or bike on your own schedule. Whenever and wherever you do this, just record your miles on our dedicated race website to follow your "migration". You will receive weekly emails highlighting sights and history along the way to give you extra boosts of encouragement. Challenge yourself, or form a team to provide even further motivation and camaraderie. Teams with 10 or more members will receive a $5 discount per participant. All participants can receive a special edition technical race shirt for joining. And, a medal also awaits those who complete the full Eagle Route, either individually or as a member of a team (~500 miles)!

All proceeds after expenses from your $45 entry fee will go to support the six participating Comfort Care Homes, whose mission is to provide compassionate end-of-life care for those nearing the end of their life's journey:

NOTE:  Because this is a virtual event, there will be NO PACKET PICK-UP before the event starts. Further instructions will be sent to you on September 15th, unless you register at a later date than that. If you do, then those instructions will be sent when you register.
