Lighthouse Loop Half Marathon and 5K

West Volusia Runners and the Volusia Coastal Runners are teaming up to put on a foot race to support our young athletes and encourage the community to make a difference while improving their own quality of life. The Lighthouse Loop Half Marathon and 5k will raise money for the ten (10) Volusia County High School Athletic Departments. Each school will receive an equal amount of the proceeds. Our goal is to put on an event that exceeds runners' expectations while raising $30,000 for our school's athletics. This would enable us to give each school's athletic department $3,000! The event has raised a total of approximately $98,000 in its first four years. This community event comes at a time when our young athletes are less apt to participate in group sports due to financial hardship found throughout the area. Developing fit kids for our local community!

Starting from DJ's Deck at the Northeast corner of the Dunlawton Bridge, Port Orange, FL out Dunlawton Ave to south on A1A, around Florida’s tallest Lighthouse and back via north on Peninsula Blvd. and over the Dunlawton bridge to the finish line at Aunt Catfish’s on the River for a great after party in the Party Zone!

Professionally chip timed with overall and age group awards.
