About the event
This is a True Texas Mountain Race on the Franklin Mountains. The races will be run around altitude at 4800' and climb to 7192' which is the top of North Franklin Peak. Most of the trails low are desert trail that is run able terrain with easy technical trail. The climb to the North Franklin Peak is a combination of straight climbing and switchbacks.
The start/finish will be at the pavilion area circle inside of the Franklin Mountains State Park.
100 Miler
100m will be 3 loops of 33.69 miles with 20,000 feet of gain and descent. The loops will be run washer style so you will run the first clockwise and the 2nd counter clockwise and the last clockwise. Relay teams for the 100m are 3 people.
100k
100k will be 2 loops of 31 miles with 13,500 feet of gain and descent. The loops will be run washer style so you will run the first clockwise and the 2nd counter clockwise. Relay teams for the 100k are 2 people.
REQUIREMENTS
To Run the 100 miler you MUST have completed one of the 3 within the last 18 months.
100 mile run or longer, 100k run or a 50 miler.
To Run the 100k you MUST have completed one of 3 within the last 18 months.
100 miler or longer, 50 miler or 50k.
Other endurance events may qualify email me at [email protected] for special consideration.
You will be asked on signup to verify race, date and time finished.
You may also enter a race that is upcoming before the race date in which once you complete we will need to see the results from that race to verify.
THERE ARE NO TIME LIMITS ON THE RACES COMPLETED ABOVE
