Malibu Half Marathon & 5K

November 08, 2020 # 12
The event starts at 07:00.

Nearly 4,000 runners will gather on Saturday to attend the Health & Fitness Expo and on Sunday to run the storied Pacific Coast Highway without fighting cars or traffic.

Along the way, the race route offers some of California’s most spectacular views of the ocean as well as the beautiful beachfront homes, many of which are owned by A-list Hollywood’s celebrities.

The Half Marathon course is USATF-certified and participants will have 4+ hours to complete their race, i.e. 18 minutes-per-mile pace for the Half-Marathon.

Because of the importance of their grassroots efforts and commitment to the Malibu Community, ‘The Boys & Girls Clubs of Malibu’ are the race flagship charity. The club’s mission is to significantly enhance the lives of Malibu youth which includes a focus on bilingual counseling, education and Angels at Risk, a drug intervention program for teens and their families.

Whether you are a runner, a family member, a friend or a spectator, come and celebrate our 9th year together with us, the Boys & Girls and the volunteers!

The Half Marathon starts and ends in famous Zuma Beach, Malibu offering participants a beautiful out-and-back route along the pristine Malibu coastline. From the starting line, the course proceeds on Westwards Beach Rd and then turns left on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) passing Zuma Beach, one of the most distinctive landmarks on PCH and a cinematic backdrop for numerous films and TV commercials. After making the turnaround, just north of San Nicolas Canyon, runners head back down the coast to the finish line.
