About the race in Castellon, everything exceeded my expectations: the organization, the warm welcome by the volunteers the day before and on the actual race, and especially the wonderful, encouraging bands at almost every km. They were fantastic! All the criteria were excellent: great route, well organized, cool happenings around the event, cheerful crowds, amazing location, not too crowded and fast track! Congratulations, Castellón, I hope to be able to go back next year!

Excellent marathon route!

Castellon marathon was well organized event and the route was fast and flat. There were enough drinking stations along the course. I can recommend the event if you are interested to run fast marathon.

Super fast because it's close to being completely flat, and a lot of the miles are on long straight roads. I'm certainly not a fast runner, but keen to try a marathon in a different part of Spain, I signed up before reading the rules properly. When I did, I was scared I wouldn't make it in 5 hours 30mins, and would be left to find my own way to the end. A few people didn't finish, but I did it well in time and wasn't as tired as previous marathons. The crowd, the marshals, the bands, the police, were all incredible. I have never experienced so much support, friendliness and genuine kindness. The other runners were all extremely encouraging, with the fast groups cheering on the slow ones as they went the other way down the long coast road bit. The Finish area is through the park and very welcoming and bright. Castellon is fascinating and the whole weekend didn't cost very much, with everything being really good value. I loved the medal and the giant beach towel that we got at the finish. It was really very enjoyable, despite (for me) the time pressure!

The marathon was, of course, measured in km, 42, and I found it worse than counting down the 26 miles! The first 10km was amazing, with a band every 1km!

Great route; Well organised; lots of live music all along the route; awesome crowd support; not too crowded; great atmosphere; good quality T shirt as well as a really nice surprise gift at the end!! Will definitely be back!!

Super flat all the way. Although I prefer undulating routes it was a pleasure to run this route (just a bit quiet out towards the port but it was short lived).
