Meltfest 5K - "Hammy Hustle"

Year #7!

As with past years, the Meltfest "Hammy Hustle" 5K is held the first Saturday in SPRING.  For 2020 this is Saturday, March 21.

Similar to years past, the event starts and finishes at the historic Prairie Street Brewhouse while taking runners and walkers through multiple historic districts of downtown Rockford.  The race kicks off at 10:00 a.m.  

Race entry (with both youth and adult pricing) includes event shirt, finisher medal, post-race snack table, beverage from Prairie Street, a complimentary Rockford IceHogs ticket to the 3/21 game (against the Iowa Wild), and more.  The race is chip timed and the top three male and female finishers in each age group will receive additional awards (beyond finisher medal).  Finally, the fastest female and fastest male runners will get special recognition.

For the kiddos that cannot handle a full 5K, we have a FREE kids run that follows the adult race.  Learn more about this at www.meltfest.com as March 21 draws closer.
