Race Information

Join us for an amazing race honoring the extraordinary heroism, commitment and sacrifice of the victims, survivors and rescuers of the events of 9/11. This race begins in front of the 9/11 Memorial of Maryland at the World Trade Center on Pratt Street and finishes in the scenic Federal Hill Park! The Baltimore City Police Foundation and the Baltimore City Fire Foundation are the beneficiaries of this event, assisting those families that have lost a loved one in the line of duty!

Entry Fees:

$30 (11K) $20 (5K and 1 Mile) through July 1st, 2016

$35 (11K) $25 (5K and 1 Mile) through August 1st, 2016

$40 (11K) $30 (5K and 1 Mile) until race day

$45 (11K) $35 (5K) on race day

$5 discount for all law enforcement and fire agency employees, or active or retired military - this is applied at checkout

Packet Pick-up:

Packet PIck-up sessions will be announced

Race Day
beginning at 7 a.m. in front of the World Trade Center (in the grass area next to the 9/11 Memorial) on Pratt Street.

It is recommended you attend a packet pick-up session to ensure your shirt size, as sizes are not guaranteed on race day.

Course:

5K Course: Will start in front of the 9/11 Memorial of Maryland at the World Trade Center on Pratt Street.

START on Pratt Street at the intersection of Pratt and Commerce Streets in front of the World Trade Center
Run west on Pratt Street to Light Street and bear left on Light Street
Continue on Light Street to Key Highway and turn left on Key Highway
Continue on Key Highway to Webster Street and turn right on Webster Street
Continue on Webster Street to E. Randall Street and turn right on E. Randall Street
Continue on E. Randall Street to Johnson Street and turn left on Johnson Street
Continue on Johnson Street to E. Wells Street and turn right on E. Wells Street
Continue on E. Wells Street to Light Street
Turn right on Light Street and continue to E. Fort Avenue
Turn right on E. Fort Avenue and continue to Williams Street
Turn left on Williams Street and continue to Warren Avenue
Turn right on Warren Avenue and continue to turn left into Federal Park FINISH on pathway leading into Federal Hill Park

Directions and Parking:
From the North: Take I-83 south to the end at Fayette St., turn right and look for parking in the area. To get to the Rash Field area, continue on Fayette St. to St. Paul St. Turn left on to St. Paul St. and follow to Key Hwy. Turn left and look for parking.
From the South: Take 295 or I-395 into the city to Pratt St. Take Pratt to Light or Pratt to Gay St. to get to start area.

Parking available in the morning at garages near the start or the end. You may park near the start or finish and take a short walk to either.
Fayette St. will be closed to traffic between President and Holiday Streets beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m. Traffic on Gay St. (crossing over Fayette Street) will be let through.

Amenities: Technical T-shirt (Gender Specific)

Awards: Top three male and female overall; top law enforcement and top fire agency, top Baltimore City law enforcement and fire, and top military. All awards are equal male and female. Top three males and females in each of the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.

Event Guidelines:
Please no baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, pets or headphones allowed on the race course. Your race number must be worn on your front and must be visible. DO NOT exchange or give your number to another participant.

Beneficiary: Baltimore City Police Foundation, in particular the Mounted Unit and Explorers Group, and the Baltimore City Fire Foundation to assist those families that have lost a loved one and/or provider in the line of duty.
