I have run the half-marathon here several times, and this is was first year running the full marathon in Grand Rapids. The course is beautiful, mostly flat with a couple of minor rolling hills, and mainly on a paved path through a natural area. This is my favorite running course, and I would recommend it for both first-time and experienced marathon runners. Additionally, the race is well-organized and parking is easy.
The marathon course is a picturesque Michigan fall run. The course is not crowded and there are ample aid stations along the route.
