About the event
In 2019, the Michigan Women's Commission and the Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency partnered to host the first-ever Michigan Women Veterans 5K Run/Walk. The event brought more than 150 people to downtown Lansing and helped raise $2,500 for organizations helping Michigan's women veterans.
2020 Race Details:
Date: Friday, June 12, 2020
Time: This will be an evening race, beginning at 7 p.m.
Location: Starting and finishing at the Michigan State Capitol building
Address: 120 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48933
Timing: This is a fun run/walk and will not be timed.
Giveaways: All participants will receive a finishers medal. Participants who register by May 22 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
All proceeds from the event will go to charity. The 2020 race will benefit Habitat for Humanity.
