About the event
Miles For Meals aims to raise the public’s awareness of hunger in our senior community. We use this event to assemble community, church and business leaders, along with our media partners to engage the public in a dialog about reaching isolated elderly neighbors to provide hope and a hot meal. Our goal is to inspire and enlist the compassion of our neighbors to join Meals on Wheels and our mission to empower aging in place with nutrition, interaction, and compassion.
Sunday, March 31st, 2019 5k starts at 3:00 p.m. Party: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 1700 Buckner Street (behind KSLA Ch. 12)
5k Early registration: $25 until midnight Feb. 28th (must register by midnight Feb. 28th to guarantee choice of shirt size)
5k Late registration: $35 Mar. 1st - race day
Mosey Mile registration: $15.00
Packet pick up: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday March 30th at Sportspectrum. You can also pick your packet up race day at the race site starting at noon.
5k starts at 3:00 p.m. Mosey Mile at 3:15 p.m.
Awards around 4:15 p.m. - Stick around for raffle, prizes, remarks, and music until 5:00 p.m.
