ENDURANCE. SACRIFICE. DEDICATION. ACCOMPLISHMENTS. These are just a few of the values that we here at FLEC try to instill in our children, and this year's race is a physical and tangible symbol of these attributes. While there are some challenges and at times obstacles for parents and students who are seeking a Christian education, we believe that such an education is the foundation for not only good citizenry but also leaders that will powerfully effect this world for good; and so with this in mind that we "RUN WITH ENDURANCE THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US...' Everyone is invited to join us at the 17th annual Miriam Kittrell 5K Run/Walk to raise money for Forest Lake Education Center's Worthy Student Fund.  This event is fun for the whole family.

WHEN:  Sunday, February 26 at 8 :00 am

WHERE: 1275 Learning Loop, Longwood, Florida 32779

BENEFICIARY:  Race proceeds go directly to the Worthy Student Fund. Funds raised help take away barriers from familes who wish to be in a Christian enviornment but at times struggle to afford it. FLEC is a school where children are shown kindness and what it means to be like Christ. It is in this school that children are taught to live a life of purpose. 

FLEC STUDENT GOALS: Each student is encouraged to find ten sponsors at ten dollars for a total of $100 per student. Or students may find just five sponsors at twenty dollars for a total of $100. Finding Sponsors is not required or mandated for any student to walk/ run or partipate in the day's event. 

ENTRY FEES: 5K Run/Walk - Adult -Pre-registered = $25 with complimentary race shirt

                        5K Run/Walk - Adult - Race Day =$30

                        5K Run/Walk - Non FLEC Student  =$15

                         Fun Run - Non FLEC Student = $10

                         Additional T-Shirt = $10

All FLEC students are free to run in the race, however they do not recieve a race shirt.

*No T-shirts will be guaranteed on day of race.

COURSE: 5K USAYF Certified Course # FL15122EBM.  5K Run/Walk - Third-Eighth Grade, Cummunity Runners. 5K race starts at FLEC to Sand Lake Rd., go West on Sand Lake Rd. to Hunt Club BLVD and back to school. 

Fun Run - Pre-K Second Grade Runners. One lap around school track. 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Check-in:  7:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Opening Ceremony 7:30 AM - 7:45 AM

 Fun Run:   8:00 AM - 8:15 AM

 5K Run:     8:15 AM - 9:30 AM

 Breakfast:  8:15 AM - 11:15 AM

 Award Ceremony: 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM

AWARDS:

All FLEC student who meet their $100 sponsorship goal as well as all pre-registered entrants will revieve a Run/Walk Commemorative T-shirt.  Throphies will be awarded to the top 3 Males/Females in age-group and per class.

RACE TIMING AND SCORING: The race will be professionally timed and scored by Race Smith, Inc. The race will be using disposable, electronic tags attached to the bib number. Please wear your bib to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered. Printed results will be posted.
