The CALL’s mission to educate, equip and encourage the Christian community to provide a future and a hope for children in foster care in Arkansas!
The CALL works to mobilize the church to love those and foster care with the love of Jesus Christ. This non-profit Ministry knows that the Christian community has the answers to the foster care crisis that we have.
There are 5,900 churches in Arkansas and Stone county has 71 churches. Yet only 1,600 willing homes in Arkansas and 5 homes in our county.
Sadly, 8,200 kids are in foster care every year in Arkansas and around 18 kids are in foster care in Stone County at any given time.
The solution for the foster home shortage would be one from every church willing to open up their home for a foster child and then their church wrapping around them with support.
The dream is to have more than enough homes for these children!!
The CALL has done great work for the Lord.
2,500 families have went through the pride training hosted by the CALL.
1,900 homes have been opened by the CALL
900 kids have been adopted into CALL homes!
11,000 kids have been cared for by CALL foster homes!
Stone County has trained 7 local homes that have cared for children and several out of county families. Also a couple local placements have led to adoptions. Glory to God.
The CALL encourages families in the Christian community to consider foster care or adoption. Then they equip the families that are able to answer that call by training them and walking them through the process. Once they are an open CALL home the CALL supports and encourages that family’s church to wrap around them with love and support.
Lots of volunteers work together in this ministry whether it’s in the recruitment, trainings, or caring for the foster homes it a great ministry to support.
James 1:27 is our theme verse.
