Register for the Miwok 100K Virtual Challenge. Get out the door and into an adventure, as part of the Miwok 100K Family. We are excited to include in your registration an 8-Week Training Plan, created by 2008 US Olympian and 2015 Western States 100 Champion, Magda Boulet.
The Training Plan begins on March 1. Each Sunday evening, participants will receive an email from Coach Magda with a detailed training plan for the week. Choose between “kinda new to the sport (novice)” or “I think I’ve got this (intermediate)”. Experienced ultrarunners will have access to the Plans, too, for some fun workout ideas.
Also included is a weekly “virtual clinic” featuring community guests and experts who will focus on educational content to complement your preparation for any ultra-endurance race. Our goal is to offer you tips and tools related to training and racing, and the Miwok course. You will see weekly posts on the Miwok 100k Instagram page, where you will be encouraged to share your training milestones with the Miwok community, and support each other along the way. We’ll also have weekly raffle prizes from our sponsors/partners.
Your Challenge will take place on trails close to where you live, or even on a loop around your neighborhood, as the CDC and State Parks have asked us to dissuade runners from using the traditional Miwok 100k course for this event – that’s part of this cool Challenge! You’ll have 10 days (4/23 – 5/2) to complete the 100k – in 1 day, or 2 days x 50k, 4 days x 25k, or even a team relay. Get ready to complete the Training Plan and the 100k, and bring your positive attitude.
On May 2, we will gather on Instagram Live to celebrate our Miwok 100k Virtual Challenge achievements. Since no two courses will be the same, we’ll have some fun award categories. Goodie bags will be mailed to all participants in April.
