Hello all! Unfortunately the Mohawk Mayhem event for 2020 is being cancelled. Permit issues due to the pandemic will prevent the race from happening this year. A tentative date of May 2, 2021 is being planned for next year. We look forward to seeing you on this amazing course in 2021!

Mohawk Mayhem

NEW STEEP ENDURANCE RACE!
The inaugural Mohawk Mayhem will be held on the Mohawk Trail in Northwest CT. With its combination of rugged single track trails, pine laden carpeted trails, and a few rocky climbs/descents, it will feel like you are in another world! This will be the first race ever on this section of the Mohawk. Come challenge yourself on this awesome course! You will definitely get your money's worth!

Registration

Registration starts on Monday, February 3 at 7:00 pm

Course Description

The 22M course will start at or near the northern trailhead of the Mohawk Trail just to the north of the high school. A short 0.3 mile section before crossing Route 7 will give runners a chance to stretch their legs before the big climb to Lookout Point. Then it's a rocky descent before connecting up with Music Mountain Road. Another left into the woods brings you to the most beautiful section of trail on the course. Lush forest single track gradually uphill along a creek that culminates in a beautiful waterfall. The next several miles are rolling with a combination of wide forest roads/trails and technical single track. Just past mile 10, it's a steep, but runnable descent down to the turnaround point at Route 43. Back the same way you came to the finish near the school.

The 11M course will be an out and back course like the 22M, but with the turnaround point at Yelping Hill Rd.

22M: 4400'
11M: 2500'

Awards

Each runner will receive a specially designed finisher medal by Ragged Cuts along with other swag. Additional awards will be presented to the top 3 podium finishers in each race.
