The Mount Mercy Community Stampede 5k is an open/community cross country 5k race held in conjunction with the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede, a collegiate cross country race hosted by Mount Mercy University. The open/community 5k is in its first year, while the collegiate race enters it’s 5th year. Come see the nation’s top NAIA schools compete and get your chance to race afterwards on one of the fastest cross country courses around. Mount Mercy University hosted the 2018 NAIA Cross Country National Championships on the course and will play host to the championships again in 2020.
The course is all on grass and is extremely flat. Awards will go to the top 3 male & female finishers as well as age group awards: 12 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. All pre-registered participants will be guaranteed t-shirts and those that complete late registration will receive t-shirts while supplies last.
There will also be local food trucks with great food to purchase to help refuel after the race.
Registration: Early registration is $20. Registration fee increases to $30 after Oct. 12 @ 11:59pm. Online registration will close on Oct. 20 @ 11:59pm. There will be race day registration ($30) available from 8:30am-10:00am. You can also download the registration form and mail it in.
