Moving Forward: Run/Walk for Parkinson's Disease

About the event

The Moving Forward: Run/Walk for Parkinson's Disease event will consist of a 10 mile & 5K run, along with one mile walk.  All of the money raisied will go to support excercise programs hosted the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Parkison Disease Association. The races will be an out and back format on the scenic Glacial Drumlin State Trail out of Cory Park in Dousman, Wisconsin. The trail is very flat and consists of smoothly compacted gravel. Come for the run and stay for the food, cookies and festivities!

Awards:

Overall: Awards will be given for top three overall male and female.
Age Group: The top three finishers (male and female) in each age division for both the 5 KM and the 10 Mile course will win awards. Age divisions are:

5 KM: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ 10 Mile Run: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

10 Mile Run

The 10 Mile route will be an out and back route on the Glacial Drumlin Trail. The Trail consists of a hard packed gravel. Participants will head west out Dousman, run 5 miles and return to Cory Park in Dousman. There will be four aid stations stocked with water and Gatorade along with portable restrooms.

5K Run

The 5K route will be an out and back route on the Glacial Drumlin Trail. The Trail consists of a hard packed gravel. Participants will head west out Dousman, run 1.55 miles and return to Cory Park in Dousman. There will be two aid stations stocked with water and Gatorade along with portable restrooms.

One Mile Walk

The 1 Mile walk route will be an out and back route on the Glacial Drumlin Trail. The Trail consists of a hard packed gravel. Participants will head east out Dousman, walk half of a mile and return to Cory Park in Dousman. There will not be any aid stations for the walk.
