About the event
The NC DNA Day 5K is an annual run to support Science Outreach in North Carolina. Specifically, funds raised from this event will support North Carolina DNA Day – an annual event to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists, to support North Carolina science teachers, and to bridge the gap between North Carolina’s leading research enterprises and high school science classrooms. The run takes place on the beautiful campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. This year we are collaborating with the NC Science Expo, a day long event that starts immediately following the run.

Kids are welcome to run the timed race but must register for the standard 5K (at the student rate).
