Newport Rhode Races

Join us in the City-by-the-Sea for this stunning marathon, half marathon and 5k.  

The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Easton's Beach in Newport, RI. The Half Marathon will start at 8:00 a.m. from the same location.  The 5k will follow at 8:15 am - all from the same beautiful seaside start. 

The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

Please respect our native environment - STAY OFF THE DUNES, use trash receptables, and recycle as much as possible. 

Team Registration and Fundraising!!!

This year, registrants will be able to create teams and/or fundraise for their favorite charity! It's a great morale builder and fundraiser for all types of companies, organizations, schools or even friends! 

Please Note: Newport Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are no age restriictions but you must show your ID when picking up your bib.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is available in Middletown and participants will be shuttled to the start.  THERE IS NO PARKING at the race site. Please arrive early enough to park, load the shuttles and get settled before race day.  Marathon and 5k parking is at 2nd Beach, Half Marathon parking is at the Aquidneck Corporate Park.  Shuttles will take runners and spectators, with runners having 1st priority.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Registrations are not transferrable but you can defer your race entry within one year to any race in our race portfolio. Deferral requests must be received before on line registration closes, typically 2 days before race day.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes - you can revisit your account at any time and update your registration information.
