Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy

The Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy benefits the Epilepsy Foundation Northwest that leads the fight to overcome challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.

The Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy takes place in WASHINGTON: Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Spokane, Bellingham, Silverdale and Monroe; OREGON: Portland, Hermiston, Salem, Medford, and Bend; and ALASKA: Anchorage.

The Epilepsy Foundation Northwest is the largest agency in the Northwest serving the needs of the epilepsy community. Nearly 136,000 people in Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Montana have seizure related health issues.

First Annual Epilepsy Foundation NW Run/Walk for Epilepsy

Minto Brown Island Park is located off of River Road in Salem, just a few minutes south of down town.  There is a covered shelter, restrooms, and a playground. There is a parking lot in the same vicinity as the shelter.  Look for purple balloons.

EVENT:  The Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy is the Epilepsy Foundation Northwest's annual epilepsy awareness walk. Now in its 13th year, the Run/Walk raises money for EFNW programs and services and increases public understanding about epilepsy.  This is the first annual Epilepsy Foundation Run/Walk to be held in Salem, Oregon.  The event will feature live music and other fun activities.

ROUTE: The route is along the 5-K Loop (blue line).  The run/walk starts and ends at the park shelter which is located at Parking Lot #3.  The trails are paved and are surrounded by the Willamette River, trees and fields.  Click on the link to see the Minto Brown Park trails:  Minto Brown Island Park Trail Map Salem, OR
