Ober Uphill 5k: Benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains

Run to the top and get a free ride down on the Aerial Tramway!  Runners will also be able to drop a bag to be transported to the finish line.

Course Description:  The Ober Uphill 5K will begin at Ober Gatlinburg downtown parking area and run Ski Mountain Road to Ober Gatlinburg. It is all uphill. This is a true bucket list race. This road running race consists of a 1358' ascent, making the course 84% uphill, 12.5% downhill, and 3.5% flat.  For exact details:  https://www.plotaroute.com/route/561254 

Registration Fees (NO REFUNDS AND NO BIB TRANSFERS): Early Bird Pricing: Feb 11-March 10th $25, March 11-April 28 is $30 and late registration April 29-May 17th is $35 and Day of registration is $40. 

T-shirts: Unisex sized t-shirts for participants. Pre-registered through April 30th will receive them at early packet pick up or on race day. Please note anyone registering after April 30th will receive shirts while supplies last. Once inventory runs out on RunSignUp there will be no more shirts. We will not re-order.

Awards: Awards will be presented to the KING and QUEEN of the Mountain, the top 3 Overall Male/Female and top 3 finishers in each age group (10 year increments). Overall winners will not be eligible for age division awards Age divisions: <15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Awards are based on gun time and not chip time.

Post Race Refreshments: Participants are encouraged to attend the post race events at Ober Gatlinburg.  Ober Gatlinburg will be celebrating MayFest!  (Oktoberfest with flowers!), Refreshments at the finish will be provided by Shulz Brau mobile Bier Garten and donated Pepsi/Gatorade products. 

Results: Complete results will be available on the KTC app (available in iTunes and Google Play Store) immediately as well as on the website at www.ktc.org.

Donations:  At the time of registration/check out, we will be asking you to sponsor a child for a day ($6), a Week ($23), a Month ($100), the Summer ($400), the School Year ($800), OR the Entire Year ($1200). Your donation will DIRECTLY affect the youth of Sevier County! The Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains works to provide a safe, nurturing space and meals for school aged kids.  The Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains offers kids mentorship, opportunities to excel and extra attention children may not otherwise receive.  Last year our 5 local clubs served 1,800 students and served more than 225,000 meals!
