Peter McGee Hoffman was a healthy, active 23 year old when diagnosed with tongue cancer in August 2008. He died just 7 short months later at the age of 24. Peter was unbelievably strong during his illness, and had already begun planning a fundraising 5K from his hospital bed to raise awareness of oral cancer. Peter lived his life with kindness, generosity and a boundless sense of adventure. Inspired by those memories of Peter, his family and friends organized last year’s inaugural 5K, and now hope to continue Peter’s original vision with this year’s Walk/Run. We hope that you will join us on Saturday, April 16, 2016 – a day to remember Peter and help us achieve his goal of spreading awareness and raising critical funds in the fight to end oral cancer.
