Ocracoke Island Weekend Runfest

6th Annual Ocracoke Island 5K/10K/Family Fun Run & Second Annual Half Marathon

Are you bursting with energy this year?
The Lt. Maynard's Challenge is just the thing for you! Lt. Maynard's Challenge participants will complete either the Jolly Roger 5K or the Queen Anne's Revenge 10K on Saturday, April 29th and then the Blackbeard's Half Marathon on Sunday, April 30th, 2017. 

All Lt. Maynard's Challenge finishers will receive an additional charm to attach to the half marathon medal to recognize their special achievement. Complete this challenge to receive bragging rights thus far only enjoyed by Lt. Maynard himself. Can you slay Blackbeard?

Participants wishing to participate in Lt. Maynard's Challenge need to select that option during half marathon registration.

Packet Pickup:
Friday, April 28th, 5-7 PM @ Gaffer's
Saturday, April 29th, 6:30-7:30 AM (5K/10K/Fun Run)
Saturday, April 29th, 5-7 PM (Half marathon)
Sunday, April 30th, 6:30- 7:30 AM (Half marathon)

Fees:
5K/10K: $35 (before April 14th), $40 (after April 14th), $18 (ages 18 & under before 4/14), $23 (ages 18 & under after 4/14)
Half marathon: $65 (before March 1), $75 (after March 1)
Family fun run: $10, Runners 5 & under free if accompanied by a an entrant at least 16 years old. All family fun run participants will receive a medal and refreshments courtesy of The Ocracoke Coffee Co.

Runners in half marathon, 10K & 5K receive a high quality, quick dry t-shirt, along with tote bag courtesy of Soundfeet Shoes. Sizes only guaranteed if registered before April 14th.

Start Times (10K/5K/Fun Run):
Registration/ check in for 10K/5K: 6:30- 7:30 am
10K/5K race starts promptly at 8:00 am
Fun run start: 10:00 am
Last minute fun run registration from 9:00-10:00 am @ Gaffer's

Water and fruit will be provided courtesy of Food Lion before and after the 10K/5K race.

Start Times (half marathon):
Registration/check in: 6:30- 7:30 am
Race starts promptly at 8 am. Race timing will be cut of at noon.

Water and fruit will be provided courtesy of Food Lion before and after the half marathon. Water stations and port-a-john's will be provided along the course.

Awards (10K/5K):
9:30 am @ Gaffer's
Top 3 male & female finishers in age groups will receive medals. Top 3 male and female overall will receive trophies. In addition, 1st place male and female overall finisher in 10K & 5K will each receive a $100 gift certificate from Soundfeet Shoes.

Age Groups (5K): 10 & under, 11-13, 14-2, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over
Age Groups (10K): 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

Awards (half marathon):
12:00 noon @ Gaffer's
Top 3 male & female finishers in age groups will receive medals. Top 3 male and female overall will receive trophies. In addition, 1st place male and female overall finisher will each receive a $100 gift certificate from Soundfeet Shoes.

Age Groups (half marathon): 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

Post Run Party:
Post-run party at Gaffer's on Saturday 11 am- 12:30 pm, Sunday 12:00- 1:30 pm. Free food, free beer and entertainment. 21 or older for beer, ID's will be checked and all beer drinkers will be writ banded. Others attending will be charged $20 for great food and beverage ($10 for 18 and under).
