OORAH!!! Run/Walk for The Mathew J. Vieu Memorial Fund, Inc.

The Mathew J. Vieu Memorial Fund, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping veterans, as well as active military members, in their times of need. Together with the support from our community, we have been providing assistance to our servicemen and women since 2016!

Join us for our 5th annual OORAH!!! 5k run / 2 mile walk around the Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, MA. This event has been such an overwhelming success over the years and is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together in support of a noble cause.

This year, we are having a Battle of the Branches & Badges! Choose to represent a branch of service or badge (police/fire) when you sign up to see who is the best of the best. The winning team will have their name displayed and proudly showcased at all future events. Really, who doesn't love bragging rights?

Each registered participant will receive a swag bag with an event shirt and other surprises! We are offering two styles of shirts for our 5th-year celebration, choose from a ringspun cotton tee or a wicking athletic training tank. Also, in honor of our 5th year, we have embroidered MJVM jackets for an additional purchase. You will have the option to purchase a jacket during registration, or you can click on the STORE tab below.

An after-race party will be held inside the Holyoke Elks Lodge immediately following the event. Olde Towne Catering will provide a catered lunch along with a cash bar. There will also be plenty of fantastic raffle prizes to win and additional merchandise for sale, so don't forget to bring some extra cash.

A few reminders:

The event is held rain or shine.Officially timed by 4RUN3 (registered runners only).This race is a family-friendly event.Strollers are welcome, be mindful that a good portion of the course is packed dirt/gravel. There is limited parking at the Holyoke Elks; carpooling is strongly encouraged.Event shirts and swag bags are only guaranteed if registered by August 24, 2020. A $5.00 shipping charge is included in the virtual registrations.
