Paris Feel the Spring Virtual Marathon

Simply AWESOME to finish my very first Virtual Run in 2022 !!! This VIRTUAL RUN is Simply DRAMATIC INSIDE OF ME because I annexed my Prayer for WORLD PEACE in the middle of Ukraine's Suffering and Struggle from the carnage of the Russian Leadership opting for WAR and DESTRUCTION of a peaceful nation and Good Order in the Entire World; another Prayer for the world's POSITIVE RESPONSE on the continued challenges of COVID-19; a PRAYER of THANKSGIVING for being alive and well and for more humane leaders of the Free World and ALL peoples of the world who fight for and uphold Peace and Order. I do have an unending wish on this One Palm Sunday that I could always be blessed to do the SIMPLE MOVE to stretch my limbs to herald the ecstasy in Running and in Life itself.

This 10K Run is another First in my Experience to remember as Paris, the City of Lights, reverberates across the Globe even here in my current home in Clifton, New Jersey, USA. The very cloudy, windy 49-degree Fahrenheit SPRING temperature kept me going with comfort as I enjoyed the almost hiding, setting sun at the end of my Run. The strong wind coming from the NorthWest challenged me a lot, allowing the fancy flow of my hair while running. At the end, the Sweet (?) or (Salty?) Perspiration still won. That was a great outcome in my every run. I always silently conclude that the The PRIZE and the PRICE of SWEAT is/are ONE HEALTHY Outcome of RUNNING.

I never received a t-shirt or bib (for at-home printing) prior to the race. I’m skeptical that I will receive the medal.

The distance was fine. I chose it and completed it

Spring Rain, Rain, you need not go away ... you just made my “Paris Feel the Spring Marathon” another Wonderful FunRun day here in my Clifton, New Jersey, USA neighborhood. Letting Saturday’s Dry Spring Day passed by, I ended up experiencing this 5K FunRun in the middle of the Sunday Rain: Another “WONDERFUL FIRST” of FunRunning in the middle of Mother Nature’s Rain from Start to Finish. Bypassing my husband Albin’s sweet nag that I might get sick, I had to sweetly insist, too, that I’d rather do it for the experience. With my rain jacket on, I have no regrets taking advantage of Clifton Main Library empty parking lot as my running tracks. I completed my FunRun with so much joy of traversing some puddles of water, some mud with my wet pants and heavy rain-soaked shoes while my hubby, somehow, was also enjoying his newspaper reading in the comfort of our parked car. I really felt like a child playing

I was cautious to complete this 5K to assure not to trip on the wet tracks which took me about 15 back-and-forth rounds in my newly adopted running tracks. Lucky me, I just freshly finished my FunRun when a Clifton City Police Trooper happened to patrol the Library premises. I even felt safer for his being around especially that he was kind enough not to bother us.

This was my 5th half marathon race with World’s Marathon since February, 2021. Finally, we had a nice temperature, but the last 8 km I had a very strong wind to my face. I am still very happy, and I am going to sign up for a next race.
