All runners in both races will receive a custom finishers medal from a local Michigan company. Awards for overall top 3 in both events for male and female. All proceeds will go to help fund the annual maintenance of the trail system. Both races will start this year on Deerfield Road in front of Lexington Ridge apartments. Parking will be at the American Mitsuba Corporation at 2945 Three Leaves Dr, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858.
Due to pandemic, we have to make a few changes to this year’s race. We have registration open for 100 participants. To stay as safe as possible we will incorporate a “rolling start” for all participants and will spread out times for participants to begin events from 8-8:30am. We will do our best to put on a SAFE event but must warn all registrants that we cannot guarantee we will actually be allowed to put on this race should ever-changing government mandates force cancellation. Should cancellation occur, we will not be able to provide refunds for this event. Instead, ALL registrations will automatically be deferred to next years race.
This race has a cap of 40 registrants for the 10 Mile & 60 for the 5K so sign up today so you don’t miss out!!
This will be a chip timed event by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online afterwards
Race Day registration and packet pickup will be from 7:15-7:50 am. at the race start line. We ask that you wear a mask while picking up your packet but are not required to wear them during the race. Please respect the social distancing and wait your turn if the line getting long.
Race Start Times: Due to restriction on gatherings, we are putting in place recommended start times to spread runners throughout the morning. This year’s race will incorporate a “rolling start” that will have runners beginning by crossing a starting mat when personally ready. All participants may technically begin their events starting at 8:00AM and no later then 8:30AM we’d like to have everyone off the course by 10:30AM.
We completely understand that plans change and athletes will sometimes be unable to compete in an event they’ve signed up for. Unfortunately, refunds will not be provided for any event unless the event is cancelled for reasons within our control. Dangerous weather, natural disasters, and local emergencies are examples of reasons an event may be cancelled that are NOT within our control.
