Pedal with Purpose

Pedal with Purpose is a signature fundraising event for Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley (FIAGKV). Last year – 2020 – would have been the event’s fifth annual celebration. But then, COVID-19 happened, meaning Pedal couldn’t. It was a significant blow to our organization’s budget, without question.

So for 2021, we’ve decided to get creative and turn Pedal with Purpose into a virtual CHALLENGE! Everyone can join in, no matter where you are or how you choose to participate. It’s easy to be part of this family-friendly event.

Here are the details.

The challenge: Bike, walk, or run 60+ miles in the month of May
Form a team: Don’t want to go solo? Ask your friends, family, or co-workers to join you!
Raise money: Set up your personal or team event page so your friends and family can sponsor you! Create your fundraising page HERE.
Log your miles:  Track your miles (here's how) between May 1 – May 31, 2021 and watch your progress on the event’s virtual “map.”
Earn badges: Earn virtual badges and special messages from our seniors as you meet milestones - (5/15/30/45/60 miles).
Get swag: Pick up your registration packet and t-shirt at our contactless kick-off event and get an extra bag o’ swag from our friends and event sponsors.
Earn prizes: Raise $100 and receive an event sticker
Raise $250 and receive a commemorative pin
Prizes awarded to Top Individual Fundraiser & Top Team Fundraiser
Medal awarded once you log 60+ miles
Log more than 60 miles and raise at least $100 to be entered to win a special prize package.
