Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk presented by Highmark

Set your #66KGOALS and join us for the 2023 Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk presented by Highmark on Sunday, October 15, at PPG Paints Arena!  We are happy to offer in-person events including the 6.6K Run and 3.3K Family Walk, as well as a Virtual 6.6K.  All proceeds benefit the cancer research and patient care initiatives of the Mario Lemieux Foundation and the youth initiatives of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.

Please join us to run the streets of Pittsburgh and kick off the 2023-24 Penguins season – Let’s Go Pens!

Winners will be selected virtually, and prizes will be mailed after the event.Special 6.6K Penguins Ticket offer to the Penguins vs. Dallas Stars game at PPG Paints Arena on October 24!  The ticket link and additional information will be sent to registered participants at the beginning of August.

**If you registered for an in-person event and do not attend, we will not mail your race packet!  You can transfer to the virtual event using your RunSignUp account through October 14.

 

Race Start Time:

The 6.6K will start promptly at 8:00 AM; 3.3K walkers will line up behind runners and follow accordingly.

Course Map:

The 2023 Course Maps will be announced soon!

6.6K Raffle:

All participants in the 6.6K Run, 3.3K Walk and 6.6K Virtual Event are eligible for raffle prizes and will automatically be entered to win.  Winning bib numbers will be selected at random. Prizes will be mailed to winners. 

Age Group Prizes:

Age group awards will be mailed to winners. Virtual participants are not eligible for age category awards.

Race Transfers:

Participants can transfer between events, including between in-person and virtual, for a fee of $10.00 (plus the difference in event cost) through Saturday, October 14.  If you registered for an in-person event and do not attend, we will not mail your race packet!

Run the 6.6K Virtually Through October 15:

Can’t make it to Pittsburgh on October 15? Join the Virtual 6.6K and register to run your Virtual 6.6K anytime between your registration date and October 15.  Please make sure to upload your virtual race time by October 15 by following the instructions in your confirmation email. You must submit your time in order to receive the race shirt and medal.  Virtual Race packets will be mailed the week of October 23.  Shirt, medal and any earned fundraising prizes will be mailed together.
