About the event
Thank you for your interest in our Race! Our 5k race was created to benefit the youth of Bowling Green Ohio and the surrounding communities, and to strengthen the positive impact of the Bowling Green Youth Hockey Association.
Our Race is a nice Fast and Flat course on the Campus of BGSU. It starts and finishes at the BGSU Ice Arena. We will also offer a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run right before our 5K.
Awards for 1st place Male and Female runner in each of the following: Under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+, and Overall. The top boy and girl finisher from the 1 Mile Fun Run will also be awarded a prize!
Our Swag bag will include 2 tickets vouchers good for a home BGSU Hockey game, donated for our race by BGSU Athletics, along with some other excellent freebies!
Refreshments as well as food from Qdoba Mexican Grill will be available immediately following the race.

Kids Fun Run
The Kids run is open to all 10 and under only. It will take place immediately before the 5K at 2pm. Parents are strongly encouraged to run it with their children. Goodie bags with giveaways including race shirts will be guaranteed for fun runners who register online by 11:59 pm on 9/21/14. The course for the fun run will be set up with safety in mind, including plenty of course volunteers to help with directions, as well as plenty of on course markings. Awards will be given for the top overall boy and girl.

Power Play 5K
The 2014 Power Play 5K will start and end at the BGSU Ice Arena. Additional information about the race, course map, awards categories, etc., can be found at our race website, powerplay5k.org. Swag bags with giveaways including race shirts will be guaranteed for runners who register online by 11:59 pm on 9/21/14. Awards will be given in each of the following categories: Male & Female 1st place in Under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+, and overall. After Race refreshments will be available, as well as food from Qdoba Mexican Grill.
Early Packet pick-up will be available at
Al Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep: 921 N. Main St., Bowling Green (One block south of Poe Rd.)
Friday, October 3rd from 2pm-6pm, and Saturday October 4th from 9am-2pm.
