Come support the Manhattan High School distance running program, in a point-to-point slightly downhill mile run on historic Poyntz Avenue in the heart of Manhattan. The race is designed for runners of all ages and abilities to experience a fun and exhilirating race.
The certified 1 Mile course is great for runners of all abilities. Volunteers and local law enforcement officers help protect the mile stretch to keep you safe as you head down Poyntz!
This very fun event benefits the Manhattan High Cross Country team. All proceeds from this race allow team members to travel to various events during the Fall season.

The People’s Race is for runners of all abilities! Come enjoy the great environment of Poyntz Avenue as you finish in front of Town Center Mall. NEW THIS YEAR: Age Group medals in the People’s Race!!
The Elite Women’s race is for runners who want to shoot for a sub-6:30 mile down Poyntz Avenue. The Poyntz Avenue Mile record for Elite Women is 4:29 set by Amy Mortimer in 2009.
The Elite Men’s race is for runners who want to shoot for a sub-5:10 mile down Poyntz Avenue. The Poyntz Avenue Mile record for Elite Men is 4:07 set by Armando Del Valle in 2012.
