NEW FOR 2020: All race finishers in BOTH the 5K and 1-mile race will receive a custom race medal! All runners receive a custom race shirt and commemorative race bib at packet pickup.
Trot, Eat, Sleep! This fun, family-friendly event before your holiday feast is the perfect start to Thanksgiving Day. Feel free to wear your best-themed gear: Pilgrim, Turkey, Pie, Colonial….. you get the idea.
As with all FRR races, this will be a festive affair—music, a great course, best costume awards, and a Duck Donut when you finish!
A DJ will play music from 8:00-10:30 at the race start area. Stay warm! The Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center will graciously open its facility so participants and spectators can stay warm both pre- and post-race.
The 1-mile fun run/walk is a low-key, non-timed event.
Packet pickup is Tuesday, 11/24 from 3 PM to 7 PM, and Wednesday, 11/25 from 11 AM to 7 PM at The Running Store (7343 Atlas Walk Way Gainesville, VA 20155). Onsite registration will be available during these hours.
