Runners will start on Lower White Oak Creek Rd and run about 1/4 mile to the Woody Ridge Trail Head. They then climb 2.2 miles up to the Black Mountain Crest Trail before running down 4.3 miles down to the trail head.
The race is brutal. Most of the runners will not run, but hike their way up the mountain.
