Race Against Traffick 5K/10K Run and Family Fun Walk

It’s time to lace up your running shoes and pave the way to hope and freedom for children in Maryland! Join us for a 5k/10k or Family Fun Walk to raise awareness about human trafficking and fundraise for Araminta Freedom Initiative’s mission to end it. Gather your friends, family and colleagues to participate in this fun and family friendly event that demonstrates our whole community standing together against child trafficking.

Content at the event will be appropriate for all ages, and we invite those wanting to learn more about the subject matter to attend an AWAKEN: Introduction to Human Trafficking event held throughout the year. (aramintafreedom.org/training)

Entry Fees:

5K:
$30 (for first 100 registrants for 5k or 10k combined); $35 thereafter

10K:
$40 (for first 100 registrants for 5k or 10k combined); $45 thereafter

Family Fun Walk:
$15 through 5/2/19; $20 thereafter
Children 2 and younger: Free (discount will be applied at check-out)
Children 3-5 years old: $5 (discount will be applied at check-out)
Race T-shirt (a la carte): $10

*Children’s ages are considered as of race day, May 11, 2019.
** Registrations for 5K and 10K include a Race Against Traffick cotton t-shirt, with option to upgrade to a sports performance tech tee for $7 
***T-shirts are not included in the children and family fun walk fees. They can be purchased separately in youth or adult sizes

Online registration closes at 11:59PM on Thursday, May 9th. Walk-up registration is available at the Packet Pick-up Session list below as well as on-site on the morning of the race. The last day to register for a guaranteed t-shirt size is May 1st.

There are no refunds or transfers of entry given for this event.

Location: Between the Lakeside Pavilion and Swann Pavilion, on Grove Road, inside Druid Hill Park, Baltimore 21217

Through Druid Hill Park - (see maps below)

This race is managed by Charm City Run Events.

Awards:

Medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place male and female finishers of the 10k & 5K in the following categories: 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
Medals will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place male and female for the Family Fun Walk: 12 & Under

Parking:

PARKING will be available along Swann Drive, Mansion House Drive, East Drive and Shop Road. Please DO NOT park on Red Road or Grove Road. It will be easiest to find the race and park if you enter through Swann Drive!

Please look for the parking attendants who will be ready to help you find a spot. Once you enter the park, allow 20-25 minutes for parking, as it can be a substantial walk from some parking areas to get to the Pavilions.

Amenities:

All participants 3 years and above will receive a race bag with promotional items from sponsors. Registrations for the 5K or 10K include a Race Against Traffick cotton t-shirt, with the option to upgrade to a sports performance tech tee for an additional $7. Children 5 & under and Fun Walk participants have the option of purchasing a cotton t-shirt for $10.

The 5K and the 10K will be chip timed.

Beneficiary:

Araminta Freedom Initiative - To awaken, equip, and mobilize the Church and community in Maryland to end human trafficking through education, prevention strategies, and restorative survivor services.

A portion of the proceeds will be gifted to Justice Ventures International to support their efforts to end human trafficking across the globe.
