Race For Healing 5K

Every child needs a HERO fighting for them. Abused and neglected children need superheroes like you to step up and step forward! DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUPERHERO FOR CHILDREN IN NEED?  You can be a SUPERHERO for a child and join us on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at the Athens High School in Athens, PA at 10:00am with your sneakers and super cape as we race for healing for our children. 

The Children’s House/CAC (http://www.childrenshousepa.org),  is a 501 c3 not-for-profit organization that provides free services to child victims and families in a child friendly and safe environment. They invite the community to participate in the organization’s Fourth Annual “RACE FOR HEALING” . On-site registration opens at 9:00 am and goes until 9:45. A kids fun run will be taking place at 9:45 with a registration fee of $10. Participants and teams can register by visiting http://childrenshousepa.org/useful-links/events/race-for-healing-5k-run// or register the morning of the event.

Proceeds will stay locally and benefit The Children’s House/CAC programs to ensure that every child victim has a chance to heal. “Last year, more than 70 people of all ages joined us in the park on a beautiful summer Saturday. We want to make this beautiful event bigger and better this year,” said Edith Jordan, Executive Director of the Children’s House/CAC. Day of Registration/ Event Check-In: 9:00am - 9:45am

Register by 04/10/17 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrants after 04/10/17. Pre-registrations are $20 and registrations the day of the event go to $25. 

New This Year: Kids Fun Run Ages 10 and Under $10.

Prizes will be awarded to top overall male and female and overall winner of 5 age categories.

This event will take place rain or shine.  All sales are final and non-refundable.
